Join us at ‘Make it British Live!’
Keep calm and carry on – no overseas travel required.
The Stretchline European sales team will soon be exhibiting at Make it British Live! This annual trade event promotes UK manufacturers of textiles, garments and homeware and takes place at the Business Design Centre in London, N1 on 17 and 18 March 2020.
With three UK manufacturing sites, in Wiltshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, we’re well placed to showcase both our existing brands and some of our new products, currently in development.
Two of these were well received at ISPO Munich in January and we’ll be bringing them to London.
Ecolastic is an environmentally friendly approach to the production of narrow fabric/elastic. Made from recycled polyester or nylon yarn, it’s completely recyclable and extremely hard-wearing.
Arcaform, an extruded resin insert, is designed to replace bra underwires and will be used in sports clothing applications.
A Coronavirus update from the organisers
In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, the show’s organisers have assured us that they are doing everything in their power to make sure the event runs as planned, and as safely as possible.
A statement on their website emphasises that the health and safety of all attending is their number one priority. They’re monitoring the situation closely and say that if anything changes, they’ll let visitors and exhibitors know well in advance.
They refer people to the guidelines and protocols suggested by the World Health Organisation and ask that anyone who thinks they may be affected stay at home.
You can find their statement here.
We echo their sentiment
While we take the threat of the virus seriously and we’re taking all precautions necessary, our factories are open and functioning as normal.
The safety of staff and visitors at all our global locations is paramount, but we’ve ensured that our stock levels of both raw and finished materials are high so that we can guarantee minimal disruption to the supply chain.

We have a lively programme of events planned this year
Overseas travel allowing, we’ll be exhibiting next at Performance Days in Munich in April.
This bi-annual event attracts major international manufacturers and well-known sportswear and active clothing brands. It describes itself as a ‘functional fabric fair’ and ‘the world’s first address for innovations, trends and sourcing of fabrics and accessories in functional sportswear, athleisure, safety and durability.’
Of particular interest are the guided tours, workshops and expert talks. The core of the exhibition is the Performance Forum which highlights recent innovations and developments within the industry. The Performance (ECO) Award is handed to the most innovative/sustainable product of the fair.
Performance Days takes place at Messe München on 22 and 23 April.
